Senior Consultants Who Cannot Lead Teams
Technical expertise earned the promotion, but managing client engagements, coaching junior staff, and handling difficult conversations require a completely different skill set that most firms never formally teach.

Client-Facing Skills Are Assumed, Not Taught
Presentation skills, negotiation, and running effective meetings are critical in professional services. Yet most firms assume these skills develop naturally. They do not.

High Cost of Disengagement
In professional services, your people ARE the product. When they disengage, client quality drops, utilization falls, and your best people leave for firms that invest in development.

Training Competes With Billable Hours
Every hour in training is an hour not billing. Traditional multi-day workshops are expensive in both direct cost and opportunity cost. Training needs to be efficient and high-impact.

What works
How Thrive answers each one.
Manager-Ready in Weeks, Not Years
Live workshops on coaching, delegation, and team leadership accelerate the transition from individual contributor to effective manager. Facilitators who have held the role, not passive videos.
Client Skills Workshops
Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills, and Running Effective Meetings workshops build the client-facing capabilities that directly impact revenue.
Continuous Development With AI Coaching
Coach Taylor provides ongoing coaching between workshops. Employees get development support without taking more billable hours offline.
Two-Hour Sessions, Maximum Impact
Workshops are two hours with immediate applicability. No multi-day offsites. Your team builds skills without major disruption to client work.
Live workshops for professional services
Two hours, twenty-five seats, someone who has done it.
Who teaches
Held the job. Not studied it.
Content is the easy part to buy. A dozen vendors will sell you a library this afternoon. What none of them sells is the person who has already done the job, live, for two hours, watching your people practice it.
Every Thrive session is led by someone who has done the work they are teaching: run a shift, carried a quota, managed a team through a change, sat across from the person who needed the hard conversation. They bring the real version of the problem into the room, and the practice is done on your people’s actual work, not on a case study.
Sessions are small enough that a facilitator can watch each person practice and coach the delivery. Between sessions, Coach Taylor keeps the thread going.

What it looked like for one company
Three people from the floor became supervisors. Nobody had to be hired from outside.
A fifty-person manufacturer was about to recruit supervisors from outside, at the price of three recruiting fees and the months it takes a stranger to learn the plant. Instead, three experienced operators went through a leadership program built around their actual shifts: feedback conversations they were avoiding, handoffs that kept breaking, a schedule dispute that had gone on for months.
All three are still supervising, and the recruiting never happened. We are not going to put a percentage on what that was worth, because we cannot show you how it was measured. The company is not named here.
Organizations whose people have learned with Thrive
More than a hundred first-time leaders at John Ball Zoo have been through Fundamentals of Leading People, alongside teams at manufacturers, schools, food producers, and a regional health plan.
Talk to ARIA
Ask what you would ask us.
ARIA works the way a good first call works. She asks who is involved and what should change, recommends the closest starting point, quotes the real price, and hands you to a person when you want one.

Questions
Questions from professional services companies.
Can Thrive train our consultants on client-facing skills?
Yes. The Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills, and Running Effective Meetings workshops specifically target the skills that drive client satisfaction and revenue in professional services.
How does Thrive minimize impact on billable hours?
Workshops are two hours, not multi-day offsites. Public cohorts meet on Microsoft Teams as sessions are scheduled. Any program can also run as a private cohort for your company alone, using your situations as the applied work, on dates set with you. Private cohorts are priced per participant and quoted with the dates. On-demand courses and AI coaching from Coach Taylor are available any time, so your team builds skills without extended time away from clients.
Is Thrive suitable for accounting and consulting firms?
Absolutely. Thrive serves professional services firms including consulting, accounting, legal services, and financial advisory. The leadership, communication, and business skills workshops are directly applicable to client-facing professional roles.
Other industries
Healthcare organizations appear as customers on this site, but Thrive does not build programs specifically for clinical settings.
What is not built
Scheduled reminders are not built. Coach Taylor answers when a person asks, and nothing chases them yet. Reminders are on the roadmap.
