ADA Compliance for Leaders
A manager-facing course on handling disability accommodation: where the ADA reaches (hiring, promotion, pay, firing), what you may and may not ask an applicant who needs accommodation, and how to run the interactive process. It also covers the grounds on which a request can be denied and the penalties for getting it wrong.
Part of the compliance library: free for every employee at any company size.

What you will learn
- Identify which conditions qualify as a disability under the ADA, including ones that are not visible at first glance
- Describe what a manager may ask an applicant who requests an accommodation, and what may not be asked
- Identify the grounds on which an accommodation request may be denied, including undue hardship and threats to health or safety
- Describe the steps of the interactive process and the manager's obligation to follow company process rather than deny a request personally
Talk to ARIA
Ask what you would ask us.
ARIA works the way a good first call works. She asks who is involved and what should change, recommends the closest starting point, quotes the real price, and hands you to a person when you want one.
