Responding to Conflict
Covers responding to conflict at work productively: what the goal of a disagreement should actually be, your own fight, flight, or freeze reaction, and the conflict iceberg for getting under the surface of a dispute. It then walks a negotiation sequence for reaching a plan both people accept, and covers when to stop and bring someone else in.
Included with the Thrive Platform, flat per organization. Courses set the language; live workshops are where the skill is built.

What you will learn
- Describe the elements a conflict is rooted in, including interdependence, and explain why some conflict is beneficial
- Recognize the fight, flight, or freeze reaction in yourself and in a coworker during an uncomfortable conversation
- Describe the three levels of the conflict iceberg and use them to identify the root of a disagreement rather than its surface
- Determine when to move a conflict somewhere private, when to walk away or take a time out, when to bring in a third-party negotiator, and when an incident is a threat that must be reported to HR

Ask what you would ask us.
ARIA works the way a good first call works. She asks who is involved and what should change, recommends the closest starting point, quotes the real price, and hands you to a person when you want one.
