Identify and develop the core traits that define effective leaders
What you'll be able to do
•Recognize the traits that consistently show up in effective leaders, such as accountability, decisiveness, and consistency
•Assess your own current strengths and gaps against those traits honestly
•Choose one or two traits to develop deliberately rather than trying to change everything at once
•Tell the difference between traits you can build through practice and fixed style preferences you should work around
Who it's for
Emerging and early-career leaders who want a clear picture of what to develop in themselves, and managers coaching high-potential team members toward a leadership role.
What changes on the job
•A short, specific list of leadership traits you are actively working on
•More consistent behavior that your team can predict and rely on
•Better conversations with your own manager about your development focus

Does this claim there is one right personality for leaders?
No. It focuses on developable traits and behaviors, not a single ideal personality. The point is to identify which traits matter for the leader you want to be and to build those deliberately.
How does this differ from the Leadership Styles course?
This course looks at the qualities within a leader. Leadership Styles looks at the approaches a leader chooses to use with a team. They complement each other and are commonly taken back to back.
How long is it?
About 20 minutes, self-paced, included with a Thrive membership as part of the leadership track.
