What you will learn
- State the criteria that make a space a confined space under 29 CFR 1910.146, the conditions that make one permit-required rather than non-permit, and the points where construction work under 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA differs in definition and in the duties it adds
- Identify hazards found in confined spaces, including hazardous atmospheres, oxygen deficiency, engulfment, inwardly converging walls, heat, and combustible dust
- Match the entry team roles of authorized entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor to their responsibilities, including the attendant's duty to order evacuation and to summon rescue
- Select the PPE called for by a described confined space and state the required response to danger signs such as dizziness, blurred vision, or shortness of breath
